Blake Ramaekers son of Shannon and Angie Ramaekers of Bellwood, NE has been named as the recipient of the Andy J. Neuhaus VICA/Skills USA Leadership Award & Memorial Scholarship. This award and scholarship was created on November 17, 1997 by Tracy Dodson, retired VICA/Skills USA advisor. It is awarded annually by Peggy & Richard Neuhaus and family and now in partnership with the CPS Foundation. The wish of this awarded scholarship is to keep Andy's spirit and memory alive by presenting an educational scholarship in his name. The Neuhaus' were formerly of Columbus and now reside in the Schuyler, NE area. Current Skills USA members vote for the most outstanding member/scholarship award winner. The member who is awarded the Andy J Neuhaus Memorial Scholarship has shown leadership skills and ardent practice to become a member whose attitude, work ethic, and services would be honorable to Andy Neuhaus. Blake plans to attend Northeast Community College, majoring in electromechanical technology.
The goal of this scholarship fund is to reach $15,000 to ensure it's sustainability to support students as the continue their education well into the future.
